Morrison Springs is a highly favored diving destination in northwest Florida, renowned across the southeastern United States. This expansive 161-acre park was acquired by the state in 2004 and is currently leased to the county for its upkeep and conservation. The park’s centerpiece is a spring pool with a diameter of 250 feet, which discharges an estimated 48 million gallons of crystal-clear water daily, with some measurements reaching up to 70 million gallons per day. The park features three openings that allow the cold waters of Morrison to emerge from an underground aquifer. The deepest of these openings reaches about 300 feet down and leads into an underground chamber whose size remains unknown. The newly developed Morrison Springs Park boasts extensive boardwalks that provide stunning views of the springs, along with a diving dock and a new boat ramp situated away from the diving area.
