The Bagel Maker
It’s the people inside that makes this little yellow building feel like home. Take a step inside and you feel like you’ve walked back into your cozy kitchen. The Bagel Maker delicately prepares your food right in front of you with only the freshest of ingredients. You can choose off the menu or create your own bagel masterpiece. Stay up to date on their Facebook to see what their bagel of the day is. You’ll want to wake up early for this!
Mosey’s Downtown
Mosey’s pizza will have you wanting the whole pie (and it’s a big one). From various appetizers to pizza combinations, you’ll need to sit and stay awhile. Good thing they’re open until 4am! Try the locals’ favorite pizza, the BBQ. You can sit inside or enjoy a seat outside on the front patio. If you’re outside be sure to say hi to Terri, the cat, a.k.a Mosey’s biggest barfly. If you have kids, no worries! All ages are welcome.
Ferrucci Ristorante
Craving authentic Italian cuisine? Ferrucci’s has you covered. Their menu consists of the finest pasta, fish, and steak. Their most popular pasta dish, the Penne Dello Chef, is truly mouthwatering. Don’t be afraid to ask what drink pairs perfectly with your meal, they are happy to help! This atmosphere is perfect for a family dinner or a date night. From the bright accents to the intricate, locally hand-painted mural, this dining experience is undeniably going to boost your mood. If you want to eat outside, they have an intimate back patio which is just as inviting as the inside.
Trigo San Francisco Style Deli
The busiest lunch spot in Downtown! Trigo Deli offers the most delectable San Francisco-style sandwiches, like a warm 49ers Special or a cold Sausalito Delight. One of the most difficult decisions at Trigo is deciding whether to eat inside or outside. The other difficult decision? Picking which 3 salads you want to eat in their three-salad special. If Gilbert, the owner, is around make sure to say hi!
El Weirdo
The place to be yourself and enjoy amazing tacos! El Weirdo doesn’t judge whether you want a veggie taco or carnitas, they are happy to make you whatever your weird heart desires! If you’re looking for a new food obsession, try their “Nacho Mama’s Nachos” with chicken. In this wacky restaurant you won’t know where to look. From local artists’ crazy sculptures to vibrant murals all over the inside and outside of the walls, this is any art lover’s dream. Where is their kitchen you might ask? It’s the food truck outside, which is also covered in a local artist’s hand drawn doodles. Weirdos welcome!
Bayou Joe’s Marina & Grill
Want to eat on the water? Bayou Joe’s is the place! This restaurant on a dock offers the best southern appetizers and seafood platters around. You can arrive by boat, car, or just walk on over. All modes of transportation are welcome! Try their popular grouper basket with fries and if you’re looking for an appetizer, the fried pickles never disappoint. All we ask is that you must get a “Drunk & Ugly” for dessert, it always seals the deal.
History Class Brewing Company
History Class Brewing Company has the most mouthwatering “sammies” like their pulled pork and spicy chicken. If you’d prefer an appetizer, try the Truffle Fries or Giant Pretzel. The best part? You get to wash it all down with their assorted selection of locally brewed draft beer while checking out all of the history of Panama City inside.
The Place Downtown
Not sure what you want to eat? The Place has it all. They offer salads, burgers, sandwiches + so much more. A local favorite is their saucy, savory wings. You can watch a game at the bar, enjoy a nice meal outside, or sit in the main dining room. This restaurant is perfect for all ages and their warm, inviting staff will ensure you are taken care of. No matter what you’re craving, this is “The Place” for you.
Harrison’s Kitchen & Bar
Harrison’s brunch is raved upon by locals. If you make it to brunch, you must try the “Bourbon Street Benny” which includes a warm crawfish cake. If you’re on vacation and slept through brunch… No worries! Harrison’s also offers a tasty lunch and dinner. The “Harrison’s Gumbo” is an award winner! Take in the view as this restaurant is on the water and rumor has it, their back patio becomes paradise during sunset.
Tom’s Hot Dogs
A Downtown staple, Tom’s Hot Dogs. This 2023 Best of Bay winner has been around since
1981 and has been making customer’s fall in love with American classics ever since. A fan favorite, their chili cheese dog. If you’re not a big fan of hotdogs, they have burgers and sandwiches as well. Take a leap and try their BLT that comes with banana peppers.
Millie’s
Located in the heart of Downtown with a beautiful mural on their patio, you’ll want to sit outside to eat at this restaurant! From seafood dinners to sandwiches like flavorful po-boys, Millie’s knows what this town craves. Try the local’s guilty pleasure, their gooey mozzarella sticks dipped in their rich marinara sauce. Music is always playing on the weekend at Millie’s so be sure to catch a show!
House of Henry
You can’t miss this authentic Irish Pub in the middle of Downtown. Once you walk inside you are transported to Ireland, from the music to the smell of genuine Irish dishes, you’ll forget you are in Panama City. House of Henry offers true Irish cuisine from Pork Schnitzel to Guinness Beef Boxty. The crowd favorite? The Shepherds Pie, of course. If you’re lucky enough to catch them on a Saturday morning, you might hear bagpipes heading towards the House of Henry. They know how to bring in a crowd!
Maddie’s La Casita
Looking for authentic Mexican food? Try Maddie’s La Casita! Maddie’s warm and inviting atmosphere makes it feel as though you are right at home. They offer tasty comfort dishes such as their enchiladas, tamales, and chalupas. Try a La Casita favorite like their fried tortilla, Tostada Compuesta. Their staff will make sure you are more than satisfied!
Lone Star Boil House
Lone Star offers what every southerner desires, a seafood boil. This backyard atmosphere will bring you back to the good ole days. From crawfish and snow crab to burgers and muffulettas, Lone Star will become your second home. Don’t forget to have them turn on the big game and win or lose, treat yourself to a Reese’s Cheesecake for dessert.
Rosemary N Thyme
This little black food trailer may seem small, but their food packs a punch. Rosemary N Thyme is not only a trailer but also a catering business. They offer the most exquisite Cali-style burritos and sandwiches on their homemade bread. Rosemary N Thyme’s hearty, fully loaded breakfast burrito was voted the best breakfast burrito in Best of Bay. If you are Downtown you’ve got to find their trailer!
Thistle and Thorne
This dark, European styled ambiance makes for an intimate dining experience. Thistle and Thorne brings an exciting new look to brunch with their Veggie Breakfast Burrito and Blackened Alligator Frittata. This sophisticated, artsy downtown bar not only offers brunch, but a delightful drink selection as well. Try their most popular drink, The Harrison!
Hotel Indigo
Hotel Indigo kindly offers two dining experiences to all guests and the public. Tarpons, located in the lobby, is coastal dining with American cuisine. They are open from breakfast to dinner and if you’re not hungry, there is a full bar selection. If you take the elevator to the rooftop, you’ll reach Steam on 5. Immerse yourself in a place where the coast meets elegance with this restaurant. Their delectable seafood dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and breathtaking sunset views will create the perfect evening.
